In 2007 we changed our firm’s name, to use the name of our original founder who established the practice in 1825. We aim for simplicity and clarity in this and in everything we do.
The reality of our approach is reflected in the way we look. We work hard with clients to navigate jurisdictions around the world, finding the best way to solve often complex problems. Our track record shows that we succeed.

Our visual identity reflects our real-world attitude, always aiming to be purposeful, pragmatic and focused on serving clients' interests. For two centuries many of our clients have been focused on trade and shipping. We take pride in the heritage of our firm and our clients, referring to it by showing instruments that have historically been used as navigational aids. Today, in the same spirit but with a contemporary and international outlook, we continue to help clients find the clear way forward.
