Expertise

Kai En is a solicitor in our Singapore office and a member of our casualty response team. He deals with both wet and dry shipping cases and has experience dealing with disputes arising out of collisions, charterparties, bills of lading and other carriage of goods contracts.
Kai En is a fluent Mandarin speaker who regularly advises Chinese clients and has assisted on several arbitration matters involving Chinese aspects.

Career

Kai En began his career as an army officer with the Singapore Armed Forces before he was called to the Singapore Bar in 2008. Prior to joining Thomas Cooper, he trained and worked with two prominent Singapore shipping law firms. Kai En read law at the National University of Singapore under a military scholarship and graduated in 2003.
