Simon is a managing solicitor in our finance group. He specialises in banking, asset and project finance law including secured lending, syndicated lending and structured finance, advising both lenders and borrowers. Simon has particular expertise both in the UK and internationally within the project finance, shipping (both commercial vessels and pleasure craft), the aviation and other transport (including rail) sectors.
Career
Simon qualified first in Scotland in 1997 at Tods Murray WS, in England & Wales in 1999 while at Linklaters and became a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong in 2003 with Johnson Stokes & Master and Clifford Chance. He also has direct in house experience with a major UK commercial bank. Simon read law at Edinburgh University and has a BA (Hons) in economics and political studies from Queen’s University at Kingston in Ontario, Canada.
