Douglas is the head of our Piraeus office. He specialises in all aspects of wet and dry shipping and is a key member of our Emergency Response team. Douglas has experience of a wide variety of shipping problems, from withdrawal and hire disputes, to cargo claims, groundings, fires and total losses. In addition, he has considerable experience in banking.

Douglas became a partner in 1989 after joining the firm as an articled clerk in 1983. He is fluent in Spanish and French and a member of the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in Athens. Douglas read law at the University of Manchester.
