Dharmendra is a partner in our London office and heads the Indian desk. He specialises in commercial shipping problems and regularly advises on disputes arising under bills of lading and charterparties, both on their own and following casualties. During the recent credit crunch Dharmendra was instructed by a number of Indian shipowners and charterers in respect of a variety of shipping claims.
Dharmendra has successfully increased the firm’s profile and presence in the Indian market with the firm now advising large multi-national Indian corporates and those in the steel industry.
Career
Dharma joined Thomas Cooper as a Partner in 2006. He was admitted as an English solicitor in 2001, after having been admitted to the Singapore bar in 1999. Dharma read law and obtained an LLM at Nottingham University.
