Yuen Gi has experience in handling disputes involving issues arising under charterparties, contracts of affreightment, bills of lading, commodities contracts and marine insurance policies.
Yuen Gi is also experienced in advising clients on the impact and implication of the various sanctions regulations imposed on Iran, Crimea, Sudan, North Korea and Myanmar, with a focus on the maritime and insurance sector. Yuen Gi speaks fluent Korean and Mandarin.
Yuen Gi read law at King’s College London and graduated in 2013. Prior to joining Thomas Cooper in 2016, he trained at Incisive Law in alliance with Ince & Co in Singapore and upon qualification in 2015, joined the Marine and International Trade Team at Kennedys Singapore.
