“Bernardo, Victor, Juan José and Antonio’s appointment will be an excellent addition to the Madrid office. Their expertise will enhance and build upon our existing capabilities. They are all very experienced, know the market well and have real expertise in their practice areas which will further strengthen our presence in Spain and continue to enable us to use a different approach to all legal issues and conflict resolution. Our clients worldwide require us to think on an international basis but understand and take into account local systems of law. The arrival of the new team will ensure that we continue to achieve this successfully and fits in with our growth strategy. With our new recruits the Madrid team now has 10 lawyers – as previously mentioned in 2012, our strategy to expand our Madrid presence to incorporate new lawyers into the team has been firmly put into place. We remain the only firm in Spain in the international trade, shipping and insurance sector which has experienced English solicitors and Spanish abogados under one roof enabling us to handle all Spanish and English legal matters from one location”.
